WALKING PARADE

Carnival 2017Wickhambrook Carnival Prince, Oscar aged 10 from Rede and his two attendants Freya aged 7 and Millie aged 8 were chosen at a Beach Party disco held on Friday 26th May, hosted by Wickhambrook Primary Academy. Judges for the evening were Pam and Julien Girling and Oscar was crowned by last year's Carnival Princess, Megan.

On Carnival Day, Saturday 8th July, Oscar and his two attendants will ride in an open top car and lead a Disney themed 'Walking' procession, along with the Sawston Youth Group Marching Band, Fire Engine, and classic cars.

The procession will leave from the local school at 12.30 for a short trip around the village and back to the Recreation Ground where there will be numerous attractions and stalls, including Dog Show, Car and Bike Show, Inflatables, Donkey Rides, Circus Workshop, Fancy Dress competition, Children's Sports BBQ and Beer Tent.
