Wonderfully Grimm

DanceEast presents a fantastic dance theatre and film performance for children aged 7+ years and their families

World class dancers come to local village halls and schools across Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk this March in a fairytale Village Hall Tour that promises to inspire children and adults alike to get up and dance.

Wonderfully Grimm, by Sean Tuan John and Bert Van Gorp, is a unique children’s dance theatre performance for 7+ years and their families, which uncovers the fantastical and cruel nature of the Grimm fairytales including Hansel and Gretel, Rumpelstiltskin, Rapunzel and Little Red Riding Hood and what really lurks behind the “Happily Ever After”. 

Two geeky Grimm brothers take the audience on a magical romp through these famous stories using a variety of zany characters, dance, storytelling, performances, music, film and an extravagant use of props and humour to explore the heavily moralistic nature of the tales.
