Report of Events in September and October 2003
The Chairman, Percy Nunn, welcomed members old and new after the summer break. He was especially pleased to welcome John Fuller, son of the late Clement, a former Chairman of the Society. Members were proud and touched to have been remembered in Clement's Will. A sum of money will be kept for a special project.

The speaker for the evening was Nick Sign, who gave a comprehensive account of education in Suffolk before 1770. We were pleased to learn that there was a schoolmaster in the village in 1662, but he would only have taught the nobility.
