November and December Report
Happy New Year to everyone and I hope that you had a Merry Christmas. As I am typing this I still have lots of things to do before the 25th December and by the time you read this Christmas will seem a long way away. Nearly everyone looks forward so much to Christmas, and then it is gone in a flash!!!

Anyway, to our meetings in the New Year:
Events
26th January
we have a talk on the 'Gardens of Normandy including Monet's'
The speaker is Mrs Sue Robinson from Bury St Edmunds
this begins at 7.30pm in the W.I. Hall

23rd February
there is a talk by Mr Peter Lewis of Weston Colville
entitled 'Alpines and the Rock Garden'
7.30pm in the W.I. Hall

At the AGM held in November it was decided to keep the annual membership fee at £3, but to increase the monthly meetings to £1. We have had to do this because, like everything else, the speakers were charging more and more for their talks. We think this is still very good value and hope that you agree!!

Everyone is welcome to the above meetings, so hopefully we'll see you there

The Summer Flower Show this year will be on the 10th July 2004, so you all have plenty of time to plan what you are going to grow this year so that you can make an entry and join in the fun.

The Summer Coach outing this year will be on the 17th July and we are planning to go to Wisley. We have been there a few times, but we have lots of members who have not been, and they have requested a trip there. There is lots to see and, although I have been there three times, I have not been in July. It is the sort of place you could visit a dozen times anyway and still see something that you have never seen before. There will be more details in the next Scene regarding prices etc.

Don't forget our monthly meetings, we are a friendly bunch and you would be very welcome. The £1 includes tea/coffee and biscuits so they really are good value.
