March and April 2004
Coach Outing to RHS Gardens, Wisley on the 17th July 2004
Due to popular demand, I am arranging the above coach trip. We will be leaving Wickhambrook MSC at 8.30pm and leaving Wisely at 5 o'clock. The journey will take about 3 hours, depending on traffic of course. No picnics are allowed in the grounds of Wisely, but there is a cafe inside, and a picnic area outside the grounds. It is a beautiful place to visit and there is always lots to see.

The price will be around £12. As usual, if you want to come along, please give me a call on 01440 820108 and I will put your name on the list. Also as usual a deposit of £5 per person would be much appreciated.

Our monthly meeting in January was of slides of 'Gardens of Normandy, including Monet's' by Mrs Sue Robinson. On a cold, wintry night everyone at the meeting enjoyed being transported to France - the slides were beautifully coloured and made us all think of Summer Days.

On Friday 26th March, we are having our social evening in the MSC. Everyone is welcome.

On the 29th March our monthly meeting is entitled 'Greenhouse Gardening' by John Hewson and on the 26th April Mrs Anne Newman will talk about 'Some Suffolk Gardens' and then on the 17th May we have a Coffee Evening and Bring and Buy. We usually have plenty of bargain plants for purchase at our annual Coffee Evening. All our monthly meetings are held in the W.I. Hall and begin at 7.30pm, so come along and join us.

Everyone is welcome to the above meetings, so hopefully we'll see you there

The Summer Flower Show this year will be on the 10th July 2004, so you all have plenty of time to plan what you are going to grow this year so that you can make an entry and join in the fun.

The Summer Coach outing this year will be on the 17th July and we are planning to go to Wisley. We have been there a few times, but we have lots of members who have not been, and they have requested a trip there. There is lots to see and, although I have been there three times, I have not been in July. It is the sort of place you could visit a dozen times anyway and still see something that you have never seen before. There will be more details in the next Scene regarding prices etc.

Don't forget our monthly meetings, we are a friendly bunch and you would be very welcome. The £1 includes tea/coffee and biscuits so they really are good value.
