Wickhambrook
Surgery is located in Boyden Close, Nunnery Green
and provides a friendly and professional service to the villagers
of Wickhambrook and other surrounding villages.
Wickhambrook Surgery Equipment Fund was founded to benefit all
patients at the surgery by the provision of extra items and
equipment that are used to help support patients in ways that
might otherwise be difficult to finance. In recent years the
Fund has financed the purchase of, among other things, a number
of home blood pressure monitors, a model spine for demonstrating
back problems to patients, an opthalmoscope and a spirometer
to monitor patients with chronic respiratory disease.
In addition the Fund helps to support the running of the Alexander
Dennis Memorial Library which provides a range of useful information
on many aspects of health care. Patients are very welcome to
borrow books from this library for short periods of time. Please
ask at surgery Reception. |

Fundraising in Wickhambrook |
Most of the monies received come from memorials, anonymous donations,
coffee mornings and open garden days. As we do not advertise
or hold any events ourselves we are very lucky to have such
generous contributors.
Donations to the Fund are most gratefully received and everyone
involved would like to thank those who have supported the Fund
over the years. The Fund is now well established and it is hoped
that a comprehensive list of the items purchased over the years
will be published here in the not too distant future.
