Wickhambrook has a large range of facilities on offer within the village
Firestation Wickhambrook Fire Station is crewed by 'Retained Firefighters”. Our retained firefighters are members of the local community, who have been trained as firefighters, but have full time jobs and work within a short distance of the fire station. There is a huge shortage of retained firefighters nation-wide. Have you ever considered a career as a retained firefighter? We have vacancies at the station for people who can provide cover Monday to Friday during the day. Please find out more about us and how we look after the safety of the community.
 
Fish & Chip Van J & D Caterers provide freshly cooked Fish & Chips together with a variety of snacks, chicken nuggets, burgers, etc, every Tuesday night. The van parks in the MSC car park. J & D Caterers are also available for functions, i.e. have your fish and chip supper cooked and delivered fresh to your entertainment venue - for instance, Fundraising Race Night at the MSC with a Fish & Chip Supper. The opening event of the new mobile library service with its new online technology was a great success and you can find out more details of the event by visiting the Mobile Library website page.

The opening in Wickhambrook was attended by County Councillor Graham Newman, portfolio holder for Adult and Community Services and our Local County Councillor Jane Midwood. Free entertainment was provided by Andy Jennings, The Storyteller.

Boyden End: 11.05-11.20
Nunnery Green: 11.25-11.55
Community Hall: 12.00-1.00
Attleton Green: 2.10-2.20
Coltsfoot Green: 2.30-3.00

The Western Mobile Library also visits Wickhambrook on alternate Wednesdays starting 1 August at the following times:
Clopton Park: 4.40-4.50
Bury Road: 4.55-5.15

 
Mobile Shop The mobile shop sells bread, cakes, confectionary, perishables, fruit and vegetables, groceries, toiletries and much more. The friendly, efficient salesman will deliver goods direct to your door from a vast storeroom selection and is in our area 2-3 days each week.

Recycling Green glass and clear glass bottle banks and a paper & magazine bank for recycling have been made available and are located on the Memorial Hall car park. The Parish Council is keen to promote recycling within the village and you can find details of how your bins can be put to good use for recycling waste.

Shop & Post Office The 'Top Shop' as it is known in Wickhambrook, provides a huge and varied selection of goods for their customers together with all the facilities of a Post Office. The store offers a vital service for the locals and surrounding villages. They also offer an attended pumps petrol service. There is a large forecourt with ample parking.
