NEWS - Automatic Book In:
In order to try to prevent queues building up at the reception desk,
the surgery now has an automatic book-in system which is very simple
to use. As you enter the waiting room you will see a screen on the
wall asking you to 'Check In Here'. Touch the screen and you will
be asked (again by touching the screen) to confirm whether you are
male or female, the month of your birth and the date of the month
on which you were born. Once these details have been entered the screen
will confirm the time of your appointment and with whom it is. Should
you have any problems with it please see the receptionist.
Emergencies / Urgent Problems
Please phone 01440 820272 or 01440 820140
If the surgery is closed, your call will be re-directed to Suffolk
Doctors on Call (SDOC). The duty Doctor will either
be from our practice or from SDOC. You may be asked to come and
see a doctor at one of the SDOC bases.
Most GPs in the area, including our own , do sessions for SDOC. You
may be asked to come and see one of the doctors at either of their
bases at the Northgate Business Park, Northgate Street, Bury St Edmunds,
or Newmarket Hospital, Exning Road, Newmarket.
Main Surgery Hours
Appointments can be made with the doctor between the following hours:
Monday - Friday 9.00am - 11.30am 3.30pm
- 6.00pm
Appointments
Please make an appointment by phone or in person. The Receptionist
will inform you which Doctors will be on duty.
Home Visits If you feel you need a home visit, please
phone before 11.00am
Please be ready to tell the receptionist a little about the problem.
This helps the Doctor to assess the urgency and plan the other visits.
Disabled Patients
Disabled patients are welcome. There is a toilet for the disabled
and ramps for easy access by wheelchair. |
