Tennis is alive and kicking in Wickhambrook! With the warm early spring temperatures the season has started with a flourish. Club sessions, junior coaching and league matches will all be underway by the end of April.

Junior Coaching:
Following the success of the last three years, Junior coaching will take pace at the usual time of 6pm on Wednesday evenings starting on 25th April. This year we are hoping to have an additional hour for the more experienced juniors. Details are available from Rod Taylor on 01284 789287

Club Sessions:
Not forgetting the adults, club sessions have started on Thursday evenings from 6pm onwards and there is a Men's doubles session on Sunday mornings from 9.30.

The emphasis is on fun and exercise but for those with a more competitive nature the committee has introduced player’s ladders to add some spice to the Singles and Doubles matches.

Mixed Doubles Tournament:
A mixed doubles tournament and BBQ is scheduled for Sunday 8th July with play starting at 2pm.

League Tennis:
For those who enjoy their Tennis with a competitive edge we have a Men’s Team and a Mixed Team in the Norfolk and Suffolk League and a Men’s team in the local winter league. New players always welcome.
Membership:
At the AGM in April the Court replacement fund was reviewed and with membership running at 60 plus it was felt that current subscription rates should be adequate to fund any necessary resurfacing within the next two years.

Rates for the season commencing 1st May will be as follows:
Adult:  £38
Senior Citizens: £28
Juniors (under 16):  £12
Families: £76
