| The Sewing Group members excelled
themselves at the Christmas Fair in November for as well as producing
countless craft items for sale, a handmade quilt was raffled in aid
of funds. Thank you to all who supported and helped at this event.
This month the 2004 committee was elected and the previous year's
met for an evening meal. Several members again went to the West Suffolk
College for 'A Taste of Provence', cooked and served by the students
and the speaker at the meeting showed slides of her visit to China
- a surprise to some of us who were expecting a talk on ceramics! |
The Walking Club has had
a few rainy days but have either re-scheduled walks or carried on
regardless. Watch the notice board for meeting times. The Reading
Group has ended its first year and will be having a celebratory meal
in January and theatre outing in February.
Members were expecting to see Father Christmas at the December party
and this year not one but eleven arrived - the Wickhambrook Calendar
Boys. Not a sunflower in sight but plenty of roses and talent, all
done in the best possible taste! Thanks to Angela for arranging it
and the boys for taking part. So, dear editor, you can see we don't
have just jams and chutneys to spice up our lives. |
Congratulations to the Parish Council
and Mdsign for the excellent Wickhambrook website. Yet another source
of finding out what's on in the village. Look us up.
