Report of Events in September and October 2005
There was an excellent turn out of ladies from the seven institutes that make up the Gallops Group for the annual meeting together this year hosted by Wickhambrook with Val Orange in the chair ably assisted by Jean Coe.

Due to illness on the night Rachel Sloane was replaced by fellow presenter Nick Pandolfi from Radio Suffolk. He filled in at the last moment and gave an excellent presentation much enjoyed by all present. He was warmly thanked especially for giving up his evening and coming at such short notice.

The members meeting in September was a "Harvest Horkey" complete with Ploughman's supper and country dancing to follow, a fun night for all especially the committee whose night off was much appreciated.

In October we were joined by several visitors for the talk by Rodney Tibbs on the ³Lost City of Petra². An excellent speaker with very well taken and interesting slides, everyone now wants to go and see what he told us about for ourselves.

There is always a warm welcome for any ladies wishing to come and see what we are like with a view to joining us feel free to come and visit.

For any further information on any of these meetings please speak to our secretary Jean Coe on 01440 820764.
